Intergated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP)
The Integrated Disease Surveillance Project is a desentralized state based surveillance (of Communicable diseases ) system. District Surveillance Unit (DSU) under IDSP is located in Health department of Z.P. Latur.
IDSP is intended to detect early warning signals of impending outbreaks & help initiate an effective response in a timely manner. Addl DHO is designated as District Disease Surveillance Officer (DSO). The D.S.O. is member secretary of Integated Disease Surveillance project committee. While The Collector is The Chairman and the DHO. is vice-Chairman of IDSP committee. The Civil Surgeon, DTO, DMO,ADHS(L) and Scientific Officer of District public Helalth Laboratory are the members of IDSP committee. There is one Data Manager, one Data Entery Operater & to help DSO in day to day Office business. The Epidemic medical officer & Health Assistant (communicable disease) also help DSO in surveillance activities.
District RRT Members - The Rapid Response Team have been established at district level shich will go in to the field on occurrence of Epidemic of unknown origin. The Details of Members of RRT are as shown below.

Financial Aid to Cancer Patients
Health Dept, ZP Latur gives rupees 5000/- as financial assistance to rural people. This is budgeted from Z.P. Cess Fund. 100 cancer patients were benefited from this scheme during the year 2006-07, 07-08, 08-09 respectively.
